Today is the first in so many days that
no caregivers are coming so mom gets to go out
and she will go to Trader Joe's to
find an orchid for under $10.
And dream about spring while
continuing to clean the apartment
(re: throwing out plates and bowls
that are too dirty to clean, until
we are down to two, but she cleans
OURS because they are all hand
washed in the bathroom sink.)
And even though the sun comes
out then it snows, we won't care
because we have an orchid
and an unopened package from
Fairy to open with our orchid,
toasted English muffins, and orange
marmalade, home-made by Fairy's mum!
This is a screenshot of Dinky from
one of the owl-cams last summer.
We are dreaming in our sleepsacks...
sending love to Meeri-boy in Bavaria.
DO YOU DREAM? OF WHAT?
WILL YOU SHARE YOUR DREAMS?
NOW THAT MOM IS HAVING
DREAMS AGAIN WE THINK SHE
MAY FINALLY BE STARTING
TO THAW FROM THE STARTLING
SHOCKS THAT BEGAN January 1, 2012.
HENCE, THE ORCHID: NEW BEGINNINGS.
L'CHAIM!
TO LIFE!
LOVE.

I dream of the smell of freshly mown grass and the wafting scent of the ocean on the breeze. I dream of the waves gently kissing the shore erasing my footsteps as I amble. I dream of the sun warm on my hatted pate, turning me a golden hue and freckling my nose. I dream of my kitties rubbing against my legs as I sip freshly brewed coffee. Gazing out the window to see the cardinals and robins dancing branch to branch. I dream...
ReplyDeleteI dream of that as never-ending...and guinea pigs BEING the ones who freshly mow the grass...
DeleteWe are in constant dream-land here . . . we dream of piggy-cuddles, cute pink ear flaps, nibbly teeth giving us kisses, of creamy lattes, of melting cheese on toast, of biscotti so hard and crunchy, of spongy-soft carrot cake, of spring flowers, of frogs and toads emerging from their long winter sleeps, of cosy nights in front of a film/movie, of meeting friends from far and wide . . . did I mention latte? Got to go - NOW!
