BEAR THE BEAVER PIG

Bear bonded with Edwin during the Olympic traveler's stops at the Guinea Pig Hilton.  He loved cuddling up in Edwin's lap and just stretching out before telling Edwin what it is like to live with his two "little brothers," YumYum and me.

He also instructed Edwin in the fine art of vegetarian delicacies preferred by the Herd that Hears and Edwin complied.

Now we are all spoiled: WheeeK:happy!

  1. Dear Panda,

Thank you so much for sharing the mysterious gift of life on the art farm and beyond! It is sweet and lovely to see your photos and poems sprouting as the Wood Ducks make their spring-is-coming appearance. I looked back in my Scudder Pond journals and saw that on March 1, 2006, I saw two males and one female Wood Duck. It's a sure sign of spring.

March 1st is the suggested day that hummingbird bird feeders be set out, too!

Yesterday I was thinking of Dora when I went to see "Madame Butterfly," performed by the Skagit Opera in Mt. Vernon. Dora's favorite opera was "La Boheme." I know so little about opera that I didn't realize that "Madame Butterfly" was also written by Puccini. I almost fell asleep during the first act (maybe because it made me so angry -- that is a PTSD reaction I have), but by the second act I was wide awake for what followed. My anger turned to grief. Today I am feeling love and gratitude. Love is not a victory march. Hallelujah!

I know that you understand my experience. Thank you so much for your writings and photos from the sanctuary!

Love always to all on the art farm,
    am
