"Who can know what effect our smallest acts of kindness may have on others? Perhaps the most important contribution of Mother Teresa, who serves the most destitute and neglected, is that she instills in those who have been abandoned the realization that they too are loved." ~ Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj ~ Panda Pig's Peace Sanctuary exists so that abandoned, neglected, sick, and dying guinea pigs may experience that they, too, are cherished and loved!

"BREAKFAST IN MY HAMMOCK"
i spy with my little eye
wheatgrass and carrots now passing by
they come out of the fridge and we
all whistle: WHEEK!
then they go under water
in mom's kitchen sink.
once washed and trimmed
and perfected for us
mom delivers our meals
and we eat with no fuss
until more we want NOW
so we WHEEK loud and clear
then we here the fridge open
knowing more will be here!

WHAT PERFECT IS

TONIGHT Carlos and Donna bid us all adieu as they held back tears...keeping it short and sweet, they spoke a few words, turned off the OwlCam,
all the TWITTER PEOPLE humans cried and recalled their favorite memories and told one another how much they all meant to each other and
they got all human all over the place, and then mom actually turned off the computer and gave us carrot snacks! We finally have mom all to ourselves again!
Until Thursday, when that little gray "Fluffy," the stray rescue kitten, comes to live with us for two weeks while her family is on vacation! Well she better behave herself or I, YumYum will jump on her ---
EDITORIAL INTERRUPTION:
"AhEM! Yum-Yum, a word?"
(NOTE TO SELF: DO NOT BLOG WHILE MOM IS WATCHING!)
Dear Readers,
How lovely to be writing to you all this evening about our enthusiasm for Thursday!
We will have a new friend to play with. It will be fun.
And, about the title of tonight's post, WHAT PERFECT IS:
Last night, as Wesley, F I N A L L Y left the owlbox and flew off to become a bona fide "owl" (an owlet no longer) the most amazing thing HAPPENED!
As mentioned earlier, Molly and McGee returned! SURPRISE!
What mom later found out, however, was that they had a kissy-party and were quite amorous, so Molly could actually be "in the preggers way" which is good, although Carlos and Donna seem so exhausted
they SAID (holding back tears, mind you) that they would not turn the camera back on no matter what!
Well, the vacation will do them good, but we MODS will still be here upon their eventual return...
and maybe they will actually retire MOD CENTRAL COMMAND,
or maybe resurrect it...?

PERFECTION IN NATURE:
For everyone (except perhaps Tauntz, the bunny who played gleefully beneath their owl box for months then "mysteriously" disappeared after a wabbit delivery Saturday night and has not been seen since)...
the PERFECTION IS FOUR HEALTHY, FULLY FLEDGED BARN OWLS now happy in their palm trees with a super-surprise plot twist: Molly and McGee's completely unexpected romantic conjugal reunion
in the honeymoon suite they shared before her eggs hatched, and everyone living happily ever after in real life!
(NOTE TO BUNNY-MOMS: don't let your babies grow up to play under OCCUPIED Owl Boxes.)
Rare in Nature to experience PERFECTION. YET, WE WERE BLESSED BY A MIRACLE OF GRACE
WITH A REAL-LIFE HAPPY ENDING!
Love,
YumYum
P.S. This photo album has been added to since we last provided a link and the images are so tender and poignant they move mom to tears...
Please enjoy. And cry, if you want; that's all the MODS been doing all week anyway!
love,
Your very own gentle, kind, offering-warm-hospitality to all stray kittens,
YumYum, darling Prince of the guinea pig family

MY UNFAIR BREAKFAST CONFESSION!
Dear gentle readers,
mom said i have to confess...and this is so off-topic and unfair,
but during the Mahals' Breakfast Runabout, Taj escaped the pen and I
had escaped earlier so as mom embarked on her own FindThePigsSTAT!
Runabout she caught me attack Taj and try to eat him even though he
is twice my size. She scolded me, returned me to my cage, and asked
whether or not i wanted the nickname "Killer Pig" because I behave
like one. Mom: BIG WOO. ha, ha, ha, who let the pigs out,
OH?!
MEthinks it 'twas YOU!
P.S. Taj is fine, he was just startled, having never been attacked before,
and mom said having never been attacked AGAIN, EVER, i had to add.
It was a friendly, playful gesture, mom, gee, don't you understand met yet?

TEARFUL GOODBYE TO MOLLY'S OWLBOX AND ALL OUR NEW FRIENDS
BLOG « Molly's Box: "- Sent using Google Toolbar"
TWITTER ACRONYMS:
IN THE BEGINNING,
DOFO meant Dream Of Fledging Owls
After today DOFO=Dream of Flying Owls
To any and all MODS who visit us guinea pigs here,
we love you all and feel so humbled to have been
included in the most perfect love story: Molly and McGee and four beautiful owlets
and MODS from around the world, over 14 million viewers and nearly 6,ooo regulars,
once strangers who may have even passed one another at one point in our many lives,
yet never paused to even say hello -
we learned to love one another through Cyberspace and laugh together as One.
Being a MOD is not something one can explain, only give silent gratitude to God for such a privelege.
And if you are already a MOD no words will ever be necesssary.
To Carlos and Donna, who hosted the show for three months and to the owls and
our crazy-loved book authors, illustrators, cartoonists, even to MR. CARROT (you know who you are)
May you and we all fly in peace together as one family into the bright, blue skies accompanied wing-to-wing by our beloved barn owls.
