I feel that way about my own life.

Robin, guinea pig, friend, stranger...I need to know I matter and that, even in the smallest way, even to the smallest creature, my having been born has made a difference in someone's life. A Loving Difference. That actually is the only wealth I feel is worth accumulating in Life, for it can never be taken away by fires, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, or death. We can leave footprints, howsoever faint in the sand, that we mattered.
