THE FIRST TIME I WHIRLED, WHILE PANDA LOOKED ON IN AMAZEMENT!

Dear Readers,

Before you knew me very well, I had a secret that mom and PandaPig kept, which I am now ready to reveal: I, YumYum,
was Born to Whirl and am actually a DervishPig! That is correct, readers. This is a picture that mom took when I was
still a wee little Whirler, astonishing Panda and Mom with my WillingnessToWhirl...they could hardly believe their eyes
and, as you can see here, WELL, you CANNOT see here! BECAUSE I whirl so fast!

Now that mom is reading a novel about Rumi called The Forty Rules of Love and has begun listening to Sufi music,
I have spontaneously begun whirling again, and the whorls in my fur whirl in the opposite direction, which makes me
so extraordinary mom wants a Hollywood movie camera with which to film a documentary called: "Whorling Dervish"
all about ME!

How much do they cost?

Who cares? If Amazon has them, we've found a way to get one...oops, as you'll see in my next post, which you did not read
here...

Since Raj and Taj both have illustrious names with Mahal added to each one, I am contemplating the opposite, attaching
a new FIRST name to myself: maybe like, oh, RumiYumYum or something...just a thought...I loves to Think almost as much
as I loves to Whirl but I don't loves anything more than I loves to Runabout, Eatabout, then Pee-and-PoopAbout and mom is
now resetting our space in a circle so we can do all that while Whirling too! Which means, we can scatter our "gifts" to the winds! (and mom can vacuum them up afterwards.)

love,
RumiYumYum, Raj Mahal, Taj Mahal
or "The Pigolettos" (mom says her fingers don't work enough for those names...EEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!)

Dear Readers,

Wesley is now alone by herself (the only "she" of the four, it turns out) and any night now may be the one where she flies away...and does not return.

Mom got off TWITTER completely and is trying to minimize "empty nest syndrome" tonight by buying a big roll of paper towels with which she will completely clean BOTH our cages! We's a FULL NEST! SHE GOT US!

She also taught the apartment repair man how to feed us carrots when he came for the first time to fix the windows and thought we were wabbits! She issued the high-pitched squeal she learned from Taj, the first soprano guinea pig we know of, and we all came out WHHHHEEEEkING! to the delight of the repairman,
who enjoyed feeding us slices of carrot through the bars of our cages...so, frankly, we feel it's time for the
owlie to fly away and for mom to fly back to spending more time with us!

The big news is we discovered that we love Sufi music and purr when we hear it so mom ordered us some
on Amazon the other night, a discovery SHE made the next morning when checking her emails and reading the ones from Amazon thanking her for the order that she apparently made under the influence of migraine medication while listening to the music on Pandora Radio, where you just press one button to BUY what you are listening to! Thanks, mom. We can't wait to start whirling and become Dervish Pigs!

Mom stopped listening to Pandora Radio when she is sleepy or has taken anything for pain. But, at least we get to keep the Sufi music! We are little dervishes, and we find it suits us to whirl and twirl and wheek and squeak ourselves and mom into a deep level of inner peace. OR NOT, WHO CARES, WE'RE GUINEA PIGS!

love,

RumiYumYum

NOT BABY OWLS ANYMORE BUT ENDEARING FOREVER!

I FEEL LIKE A HANDSOME PIG TODAY! AND THE SUN IS OUT!

i spy with my little eye
a handsome lad, a scruffy guy
his name is Yum and he's the best
his last name's Yum at mom's request
and i can feel the sun's warm glow
because of our brand new window
it faces south
it faces west
it faces me
and that's the Best!

Dear Readers,

tonight wesley may leave the owlbox, and leave us all staring at a wooden structure where over 14 million viewers got to see and know Molly and McGee, the owlets, and all of us...so here are videos for any of you
wishing to be a part of what we just can't believe we experienced!

on the other hand, Wes is something of a momma's boy, and - how do mom's call it? - oh,
"failure to launch" is also a possibility.
but Carlos thinks tonight may be it.

we shall see what we shall see.

mom is sick but we are all enjoying the sun shining through our beautiful new windows, a cool breeze,
and the pleasantness of a perfect day.

Why perfect? because after those silly Mahals wore themselves out, Me, YUM-YUM, GOT A RUNABOUT
AND WHEATGRASS ALL TO MYSELF!

G'NIGHT, lovely readers, we'll catch ya on the flip side!

AND NOW FOR "WEEKEND UPDATE" STARRING YUM-YUM!

RAJ AND TAJ RUNABOUT WHILE YUM-YUM LOOKS ON WITH ENVY

We were hoping YumYum, Raj and Taj Mahal could all runabout together in peace, but the bigger the Mahals grow and the not bigger lil'Yum-Yum does not grow, the more he needs to assert his alphaPig status by teeth-chattering and threats of attacking them if they don't shrink! Although they enjoyed the run o'the bedroom, they now have their own enclosure in which to chase one another around and around and around through and in and about their different houses since they enjoy "the thrill of the chase" more than "new explorations" but mom will keep putting in new toys and houses and enrichment for them to explore, gnaw, chew, eat, jump over, skitter through, all while chasing each other to see who's IT! They are having a good time, then YumYum gets to play and pee over their markingPee places and ultimately feel like this, and everything in the Universe both known and unknown, explored and unexplored, has been scented with his wonderfully fragrant musk essence. He wants it to be marketed as after-shave then advertised on T.V. during the World Cup in South Africa, so we are working hard on that.

Actually, we aren't. We are just playing, eating, sleeping, and then playing, eating, and sleeping and then...well, you get the idea!

HI EVERYBODY,

JUST A SHORT UPDATE ON THE NICASIO OWLBOX SINCE OWLETS ARE GROWING UP SO FAST!

Mom isn't on their Twitter stream because she loves her MODS but she shows us how Molly's brood looked before we got addicted to that site! In fact, this afternoon at 5 is going to be a sing-a-long to a new song
a MOD wrote for her elementary school students and the words are posted on our next post if you would
like to join us! We are practicing our vocals to the point where mom actually let the Mahals out on
Runabout just to "tone it down a wee bit" is what she said!

They run around chasing each other so much it wears them out and mom's ruse works.

We don't like it when mom's ruses work, so it is up to me, YumYum to come up with a better ruse!

But today for the first time ever, the sun came out and mom is back in the wheelchair on this one
sunny day so perhaps I will punk her some other day when she is less pouty to begin with...yeah,
i'll wait!

B'bye, Readers, we loves ya!

YumYum

you may wonder why I so happy? overheard mom talking to Edwin about getting Mahals neutered: hee-hee!

TAJ LEARNING TO TRUST MOM

Dear Readers,

When Raj and Taj Mahal came to live with us, neither of them was "socialized" or had been held as baby piglets. They loved and still love each other, find me curious and lovely, but haven't been too sure about mom unless she was poking something
edible into their cage.

It's been a little while now, though, and they are starting, just beginning - mind you- to think maybe mom isn't an ogre, after all.

They run and scramble less and less each time she goes to pick one up out of the cage and even purr (accidentally, of course!) while being held, although as soon as they realize they've been purring on her lap, they stop abruptly and look about to see whether or not anyone heard them. We always hear them, but act nonchalant as if purring on mom's lap is not an admission of tameness impending...they don't want to become tame and nobody, NOBODY understands that better than me!

They aren't yet neutered, either, and that makes them wilder, as I also understand better than anyone else because I was
"The Wild One" until I got neutered, then...well, lap time started feeling kind of nice...yeah, I'll admit it.

So, instead of going out for her vegan waffle and Friday lunch folk music, mom stayed home and played with us, and Taj began his first tentative "outing" as a calmer, tamer pig. Briefly. One lap at a time, my Taj, one lap at a time!

See ya's later,

YumYum
