RUMI, Coleman Barks, Paul Winter Consort, Bill Moyers

Bill Moyers Journal . Archive | PBS

Tonight we asked mom for hay which she somehow misinterpreted as: "we would like to hear Rumi and digest That for our dinner."
And so, we listened to Coleman Barks recite a little Rumi, accompanied by our old friend, Paul Winter, hosted by Bill Moyers.
And we Inhaled That Deeply. And became Full. And felt completely at peace.
We then fell asleep on sweet hay. Contented, smiling, we dreamed with our eyes opened, each of us travelling the same dream: Wandering endless fields of wheatgrass praying Up, Up, beneath the azure sky's brilliant hue! Stillness - not even one breath of breeze: Happiness Blooming, it's Fragrance infusing us with FOREVER where flowers had been planted aeons ago for this exact moment! We dined on mystic poetry tonight, enjoying the tastiest dinner we have ever been served.

Things Your Guinea Pigs Want You To Know

Things Your Guinea Pigs Want You To Know

Dear Friends, One and All,

If you are even mildly considering adopting a "rescue" guinea pig we would like you to read this and learn more about us.
It's that special time of year...when hearts grow large and love is all around. And if you have enough, you may discover
that even though you think you are saving a guinea pig (hopefully at least 2, we get lonely by ourselves) you will
ultimately learn that we actually rescue YOU! Just ask mom, she's "our rescue" and quite a high maintenance one, too!

WHO LOVES YA, BABY?
YumYum loves ya!

Lunch Time! How to tame your Guinea Pig / Teach names

AS IF we can be tamed!

What? Is that the fridge? The veggie bag?
EEEeeeeK! MOM, Feed us NOW!

(We tame her!)

THE GUINEA PIG WAY! OUR ANTHEM

EVERY SO OFTEN something so wonderful comes into a guinea pig's life that one must post it every so often
on the Blog, y'know? This is one of those wonderful things, our
Fave-O-Fave song...mom even got a "Guinea Pig Way"
license plate holder for the car!

Everyone should live their life THE GUINEA PIG WAY!

WHO LOVES YA, BABY???
YUM-YUM LOVES YA!

Les Miserables - Epilogue (TAC)

Taken from the Tenth Anniversary Concert of "Les Miserables" we have to confess
that not a guinea pig had a dry eye in the house. Mom listened to it while cleaning
our cages and bedding us down for the night...

We have many loved ones in desperate straits...fighting illnesses which may take
their lives, may take them from us soon, too soon, although it is not for us to
decide...mom just discovered that the one cousin in her family she has been close
to forever is a MOD! Battling breast cancer...she asked her to live so they could
get on the Stream together for the Third Clutch...one dear one and then another...

So we listened to songs from "Les Mis" that inspire us to do our best:
"To love another person is to see the face of God!" they sang. "To love another
being is to feel the love of God," we sang back! We may not have the lyrics exactly
right through our tears for we have lost the language of Prayer as our grief
deepens into that Silent Place which speaks louder than words, leaving our
cheeks stained with tears we refuse to wipe! Each tear for each loved one we cherish
and pray with all our heart for their Peace at last, knowing that they may soon Rest
though we prepare for imminent grief. We shall be brave and cry with no apology!

You know who you are: we know who you are...be not afraid, for you are not alone.

Lean on us so we may sing softly to you. Let us be the shoulder you rest upon, the
lap you lie down safely into, the prayer which will guide your spirit when you take
Flight towards and into that Blessed Place, free from all your pain and sorrow...
spare us not, for those you leave behind gladly bear our sorrow and celebrate the
unspeakable joy you have brought into our lives, just for being yourselves. We gladly
grieve for the privilege of having loved and been loved by you.

Sweet Dreams, Beloveds, sweet dreams, rest, and awaken if you can, to another beautiful
Day...

Happy Thankgiving from the owlets

Memories of Molly & McGee's Owlets

Carrie REALLY Needs Coffee and a donut...

Apolo Anton Ohno, most decorated Olympic athlete in American history hangs out with Edwin tonight after Book Signing in downtown Seattle!

Ya, FOR REAL! The dude is so cool, and Edwin got autographed skates and pics to prove it! WE don't...
Hey, WE DON'T!

APOLO DID WHAT?! NO WAY, DUDE!

Olympic Outsiders | Apolo Ohno holds Twitter Q&A | Seattle Times Newspaper
PRESS THIS HERE ABOVE FOR TODAY'S TWITTER FROM APOLO, which is how mom got on Twitter before Molly, to "Follow Apolo" during this year's Winter Olympics in Vancouver, B.C. Cool stuff here!

PLUS! Edwin just called from downtown Seattle with news that he'd been hanging out with Apolo after handing him speedskates to autograph along with his new book.
Turns out Apolo's "people" are also Filipino and everyone wanted pictures of themselves holding Edwin's autographed speedskates in front of the Apolo bus, so
they got to talk a little bit and Apolo told Edwin to tell mom to get well and get back out on the ice, even for just one lap.

Right now she can't get her carcass from the chair to the bed, but the skates are here, waiting...so are we: FOR OUR NIGHTY-NIGHT HAY!

Edwin sounded almost as excited as when he went to the Olympics, so we're also featuring a pic of him from Vancouver. We hope he got US an autographed book, too,
because we hear the pages are quite tasty!

Love,
YumYum (not that we would EVAH even consider nibbling Apolo's pages...)
