Calvin's Exciting News Put On HOLD!

Oh, do we have a great show for you today! But, unfortunately, mom back in the wily clutches of her first severe migraine cycle of the month - and it not about to lose it's claim on her head.
So, we gotta limit 'puter to 5 minutes or no minutes...WAH! Mebbe that what "cliffhanger" means?

"Oopsie-Doodle-Big-Fat-DRAT!" whined Calvin.
"Calvin, what was that?!"
"oh, nothing, mom, just a little disappointed fussing."
"Well, look here, you'll be in the very next post, dear."
"OKAY! CAN I HAVE A TREAT?"
"Of course you can, of course!"

So, while the rest of us look on, lil'Calvin works mom like a door-handle.
I taught him how to do it, and now the apprentice has become the master.
But I never! taught him that "Oopsie-Doodle" thing, that is just plain embarrassing.

"Oh, Yum-Yum?"
"Yeah?"
"Who got the treat?"
"You."
"Heh-hey, Oopsie-Doodle-Big-Fat-DRAT! Try it sometime. Hey-hey, munch-munch."
I is YumYum and I haz left da building for a pretzel!

A Nail-Bitin' Cliffhanger!

Mom so exhausted cleaning cages and refilling food bowls, holding us for petting, and giving me my medicine she too tired to help me with this post right now. So, we gonna leave ya hangin' but Calvin REALLY DID! And it good, real good.

falls asleep every night, Calvin tucked in to his special blanket sucking on

her finger until she remembers to put him back into his cage...

This is Padilla Bay, where the mighty Skagit River runs from the "American Swiss Alps" (North Cascades National Park) into the Bay. It may also be the last viable estuary for all 5 species of salmon native to Northwest Washington. We don't know what that means. Looks like whales from a distance. We like whales although we have never met one. Right now we just want breakfast. "WHEEEEEEEEEEEK!"

p.s. We actually ran into the actor who played the Postman on "Cheers" near the ferry terminal on one of the islands many years back, Edwin said he and I were wearing identical hats...mom and Cliff both lookin' alike! IMAGINE what that says about mom! In truth, a lot of non-Hollywoodies who don't need ranches or New York do live in the Puget Sound area and some even live here.

But they all turn pale, mossy-green after awhile, like the rest of us, so they fit right in!
