St. Vinny, the Good

People learned so much from Bhindi's "Zen Banana
Eating" Post that I felt inspired to impart wisdom
of my own.

You may now call me "St. Vinny, the Good."
(aka: "Little Piggie Who Could")

This is a lesson in sharing wheat grass with the meek.

Since I have to play all the parts myself, I will also
play the part of "the meek."

A saintly pig will only take a small portion of his
farthing, keeping the rest of his crop intact for those
less fortunate than himself.

Since I am now playing "the less fortunate amongst
ourselves" now, I must demonstrate eating the farthing
of the crop left by St. Vinny the Meek.

FROM SCRIPTURE:
"I spy
with my little eye
a piggie named Vinny,
so saintly-oH-MY!"

(see me?)

"Awe, mom, don't ruin my story,
mussin' my hair...
and embarrassing me again!
But, guess what?"

"It's Fairy's mum's BIRTHDAY STILL:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANITA!
WE LOVE YOU and I saved
this last bit for you!"

FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK AT ARTISANS GALLERY!

It's May already and this is the first month mom
(yes, the hairless one in the middle) has
been able to go play with friends at the Gallery!
It's a LOT of fun there.

This performer is Irish and also played the
drum and sang, stomped his feet and made
everyone want to dance.

Cards (and now magnets) of Calvin and MacNutPie
are still best-sellers but it's hard for mom to make
and sell them...very hard.
On the other hand, she met some real neat people
and learned a lot about...about...something
very important. She told us it was important
but has already forgotten what it was.
(never saw that comin' did we boys?! ha-ha!)

See the pink owl on the left? and the blue dog?
There was so much she wanted to BUY!

Reuben is the first person she ever met at ARTISANS
and he's a terrific performer! Mom said he reminded her
of Glen Hansard from the film "Once" so he performed
one of the songs from the film and dedicated it to her.

Still eyeing that owl!

This song was about potatoes and got everyone
singing along! Reuben had his own club back
in Homer, Alaska; sure knows how to work a crowd!

It's true. You gotta have it.
But first you gotta have guinea pigs!

"I Miss You, Yum-Yum, Please Let Me Back In"

As you know, all three of us originally lived together as one, big happy family. It was the greatest! Since then, things
have changed and now that we went from babies to Man-Pigs,
we each have to live in our own, separate habitat.
Thing is, I never grew up! Never got big.
And I still miss snuggling and sharing a sleep-sack
with my warm, cozy friend, YumYum!
I miss him so much and wait for
the day when he will take me back again.

YumYum, I am jutting my pointy, little nose in
your cage, don't you notice me at all?

That was my "attractive, colorful" good side, but I don't
mind comin' round to the other side if I have to!
PUH-LEASE LOVE ME AGAIN...

Can't even get a decent morning
hay-nap 'round here anymore.

Ah, my new soft tunnel... fresh hay...what more
could a Pirate Pig ask for after a fresh veggie
breakfast with mom? PEACE & QUIET!

DID someone ask for the lil'runt-whisperer?
Mu-ah-ha-HAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaah!

HOW TO EAT A BANANA USING ZEN BUDDHIST PRINCIPLES OF MINDFULNESS

We Begin by becoming fully present with
our banana.

We take our first bite, taking the time to fully
savor its flavor, texture, softness...mmmm.
There is no hurry, we linger in the moment.

We do not hesitate to give thanks for the
joy of our banana.

As a reward for our gratitude and mindfulness,
we are gifted more banana by the Universe.
We are humbled.

(We don't dwell too long on humility.)

We are not frustrated the whole piece won't
fit in our mouth in one bite. We are patient;
allowing the moment to unfold in a way
which we have faith is best for us.
("Get IN THERE ALREADY, BANANA!")

Be sure to assume a sage-like countenance.

Relax and become ONE with the Big Banana...
Visualize it in smaller bite-size pieces, like how we
divide up large tasks into small ones...like escaping
Runabout & Peeing where Vinni and Yum-Yum have been
on their Runabouts to let 'em know who's boss!
Allow our eating and mischief to flow like a gentle stream
slowly towards the calm oceans of peace within.
We let go any thoughts of aggression about climbing into
Vinni's cage and peeing and pooh-ing it just to annoy him.

SMILE!

Content in mind, body, and spirit by our
mindful banana-eating practice,
we leave the scene of the crime - I mean
the SacredBananaBreakfastSpot very slowly,
counting each in-breath & out-breath,
thanking the universe for banana to sustain both our
upper SharkTail and lower "man parts" now
jiggle and juggling above & beneath us as we waddle
mindfully off to digest our spiritual food before
carefully practicing each Balance Beam maneuver
we will perform in the 2012 London OlympiGz!

Be Calm, my friends, Be Like Bhindi...
(hee-hee!)
Om.

EDITORIAL STAFF MEETING FOR READERS' BENEFIT

YumYum has called us all to an editorial meeting about our blog. As Editor-in-Chief, he has the right to do these sorts of things. What he wants us to do is keep it snappy, zippy, add panache and pizzazz, and put a lid on mom's ongoing pie-hole of "blah, blah, blah" stream of consciousness trains of thoughts not even connected to the same train all leading in different directions pulling into different stations.
(not to be discriminating, but we aren't the ones with traumatic brain injury, so why should YOU, our BELOVED READERS, have to suffer?)

This is a guinea pig blog: By the Pigs, about the Pigs, and For the Pigs.
And our friends.
Who don't have lots of time.
Prepare for a new look!
Coming soon from the gray zone.
WHEEEEEEEEEK!
